When enabled, Frigate events will send rich notifications to your mobile device via Home Assistant Companion app.

How to Create a Long-Lived Access Token

  1. Open Home Assistant and click on your profile (bottom left)
  2. Scroll down to Long-Lived Access Tokens
  3. Click Create Token
  4. Give it a name like "Frigate Discord Bot"
  5. Copy the token immediately (it won't be shown again)

Notification Settings

Setting Up Notification Groups (Optional)

To send notifications to multiple devices, create a notify group in Home Assistant:

  1. Open your Home Assistant configuration.yaml
  2. Add a notify group: 
    notify:
  - name: family_phones
    platform: group
    services:
      - service: mobile_app_seans_iphone
      - service: mobile_app_janes_phone
  3. Restart Home Assistant
  4. Use family_phones as your notify service above
